This month, I’m focusing on the prep work needed to create a wardrobe that works for my life. What do I want to wear to go about my everyday life and show up as my best self? I want to do the prep now to make it easier and uncomplicated in the moment and avoid turning my wardrobe upside down in search of the perfect outfit when I have somewhere to be.
I love that feeling when I go away, and I’ve done the work and taken the time to curate and pack a suitcase full of pieces I love that work together, and I have every occasion covered, meaning there’s no brain power needed when I get there - I just wake up, put on an outfit, add a few accessories, feel great and enjoy my time. That is what I want every day. What I wear is important to me, but I don’t want it to distract me- It takes effort to be effortless.
March Style Tip - Curate a wardrobe that works for your life
So, how do we get there? I’ve had to get real about what I do, where I spend most of my time, and where I live. Despite my mood boards being full of cool outfits teamed with flip-flops, the UK in March is not the time to recreate unless I'm heading for a pedi. And when I head into town, it usually involves navigating a dirty tube and a lot of walking.
