The June Issue.
Good outfit, wrong day. Adding femininity back into my wardrobe (but make it tough) and 3 looks I'm wearing this summer.
There’s nothing like a bit of London weather to humble your sartorial choices. It’s been a month of showers and grey with the odd smattering of sun, and wow, this weather is really messing with my outfits. I had an ‘I hate my outfit’ day in town last week, and it was a stark reminder of why it’s so important to me to love what I’m wearing in order to feel good.
I felt cute in the morning when I was getting dressed and could see a flicker of sunlight peering through my window; by the time I’d arrived at my first meeting, and the rain was pouring, I felt a mess. Now, I don't think it was the outfit- a Hill House dress, loafers and a leather blazer. I just got the practicalities wrong. A short dress when I was getting in and out of a car all day wasn’t ideal; having my legs on show when the sun wasn’t made me feel self-conscious, and the dress was creased and crinkled by the end of a damp, humid day. See below; good outfit, wrong day.
